    <summary type="html">The San Francisco LGBT Community Center’s Latino Forum presents a panel discussion featuring queer Latina writers and journalists on Wednesday April 12, 2006, 6pm – 8pm at The Center.  Panelists will share pieces of their work and their personal stories.  They will also take questions from community members during a brief Q&amp;amp;A session.    &#xD;

Featured Panelists include:&#xD;
&#xD;
• Daisy Hernandez, whose writing focuses on issues affecting young women of color including gender, race, and sexuality, is a senior editor at Color Lines.&#xD;
• Carla Trujillo, editor of Chicana Lesbians: The Girls Our Mothers Warned Us About.  The anthology won a LAMBDA book Award and Out/Write Vanguard award for Best Pioneering Contribution to the field of Gay/Lesbian Lifestyle Literature.  &#xD;
• Meliza Bañales is the author of Girl with the Glass Throat, and she is also the first Latina on the west coast to win a poetry slam championship --- the 2002 Oakland Grand Slam.&#xD;
• Luna Maia is the author of a series of ‘zines entitled Marimacho, and she has been featured at Queer Open Mic, K’vetch, and SF in Exile’s: Ink.</summary>
